Adult Recognition

Colorado FCCLA offers the following awards for affiliated advisers and members of the Colorado Community.

The Outstanding Adviser Award recognizes advisers who have been successful in advising an affiliated chapter for a minimum of three years, promoting the organization, operating an integrated chapter with a balanced program of work, facilitating youth-centered activities, and keeping abreast of new happenings within the organization.

The Outstanding New Adviser Award recognizes advisers with 1 – 5 years of experience who best exemplifies the goals and ideals of the Colorado FCCLA organization.

The Master Adviser Award is a National FCCLA Award that recognizes advisers who have been successful in advising an affiliated chapter for a minimum of three years, promoting the organization, operating an integrated chapter with a balanced program of work, facilitating youth-centered activities, and keeping abreast of new happenings within the organization.

The Adviser Mentor Award is a National FCCLA Award that recognizes advisers who have been successful in: achieving Master Adviser Recognition, devoting two years to new adviser assistance, assuming adult leadership roles in FCCLA, conducting adviser workshops, attending training workshops, and using national and state FCCLA resources.

The Spirit of Advising Award is a National FCCLA Award that recognizes chapter advisers who are constantly faithful, often quietly working behind the scenes to ensure the success of their students. Nominations must be made by state advisers/state contacts. The Colorado Executive Council selects an adviser each year for this award.

The Competitive Events Volunteer Award recognizes Competitive Events volunteers who exemplify a commitment to the continued success of STAR Events and the organization.

Any Colorado individual who has participated in activities at the local, district, or state levels can be recognized for their outstanding participation/contribution to the FCCLA organization.

The intent of the Colorado FCCLA Honorary Membership Award is to honor any person who has rendered outstanding service to the State Association of FCCLA or has helped to advance Family and Consumer Sciences or related occupations programs in Colorado.
