An individual or team state competitive event, recognizes participants who demonstrate “front of the house” skills within a dining atmosphere by setting a table with proper napkin fold, greeting and seating guests, presenting the menu, taking guests orders, serving guests mock food, demonstrating a tableside food presentation, and presenting a check. Throughout the simulated situation, evaluators from the food service industry will act as restaurant guests.
